But at least I had horses to keep me company.
Speaking of horses, you know you are getting fast when they start chasing you (ignore that they are tethered to a cart)
Just remember, the weather could be worse. Just think back to base mile training in the winter.
Now get out and ride, it sounds like a group is planning a large Saturday morning ride, I will be working.

Team DDIG will be at the Tour de Madison this Saturday and we hope to see you there. There are 3 route options: 12, 27, and 50 miles.
Registration: 7:30 - 8:30am
Fire House Breakfast for those who pre-registered for it: 7:30 - 8:30am
Special ceremonies & ride instructions: 9:00am
Ride start (all route options): 9:30am
NEW Start/finish location: Fire Hall, 1223 North Main Street, Madison, VA
There will be “pit stops” with refreshments along the routes. Maps and directions will be handed out, and the courses will be marked.
Registration: $15 in advance, perhaps more on the day of the event. I think it's too late to register for breakfast & the t-shirt.
